Job Description:

The Assistant Director of Sales will support the Director of Sales in driving revenue through strategic sales efforts, managing key accounts, developing new business opportunities, and overseeing the hotel's sales operations. This individual will play a crucial role in generating leads, building client relationships, and ensuring the hotel meets its sales targets. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of the hospitality market, and a passion for achieving results.

Key Responsibilities:

- Sales Strategy & Execution: Assist the Director of Sales in creating and implementing effective sales strategies that align with the hotel’s business objectives.

- Account Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key corporate accounts, travel agencies, and group business clients, ensuring long-term business partnerships.

- New Business Development: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities by networking, researching market trends, and attending industry events.

- Revenue Growth: Work closely with the revenue management team to optimize pricing and sales strategies to increase occupancy and average daily rate (ADR).

- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and train the sales team to ensure they meet or exceed sales targets. Provide ongoing coaching and performance management to team members.

- Sales Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on sales performance, client feedback, and competitive market analysis to senior management.

- Market Intelligence: Keep up-to-date with market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to adjust sales strategies accordingly.

- Promotions & Campaigns: Assist in the development and execution of promotional campaigns, special offers, and packages to attract different market segments.

- Customer Relationship Management: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, including responding to client requests and resolving issues promptly.

- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with other departments, including marketing, reservations, and event planning, to ensure seamless guest experiences and optimal sales outcomes.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in a sales role within the hospitality industry, ideally in a hotel or resort setting.

- At least 3-5 years of experience in a managerial sales role, with demonstrated success in generating revenue and managing key accounts.

- Strong understanding of hotel sales strategies, pricing, and marketing techniques.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to analyze sales data and trends to make informed decisions.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Leadership qualities, with the ability to lead a sales team by example.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Salesforce).

- A degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.

- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

- Female candidates preferred (as per hotel requirements).

- Existing relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, and event planners in the region.

- Experience working in the Jammu or North India market.
