Job Description:

We seek a Chief Engineer to oversee the maintenance and engineering operations of our well-known resort and city hotel in Bhutan. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the engineering team, overseeing the maintenance of equipment and facilities, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the engineering department, including hiring, training, and supervising staff

• Develop and implement maintenance procedures to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and facilities

• Oversee the repair and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems

• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations

• Develop and manage the department budget

• Coordinate with other departments to meet the hotel's operational needs

• Implement energy conservation initiatives

• Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field

• Proven experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Excellent problem-solving abilities

• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations

• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
