Due to new immigration laws, introduced in New Zealand, that have been designed to protect the migrant worker, all employers in New Zealand must now be Accredited to employ migrants.
To gain Accreditation the employer must prove to the New Zealand government that not only do they have the means to pay the worker the appropriate wage, but that they also have the minimum required standard of Health and Safety and human resource practices.
Therefore, any migrant moving to New Zealand will be guaranteed a $28 ++ an hour pay rate and a minimum guaranteed 30 hours a week.
