We are currently seeking an experienced, passionate, and dedicated General Manager to lead our team and oversee the resort's daily operations, ensuring an exceptional guest experience and optimal business performance.

 

Job Description: 

The General Manager (GM) will be responsible for managing the overall operations of the resort, ensuring smooth day-to-day activities, managing staff, and maintaining the highest standards of guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and financial performance. As the GM, you will be a key leader in the resort, reporting to the ownership and senior leadership team, and will be instrumental in shaping the resort’s future growth and success.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the resort, including guest services, housekeeping, food & beverage, maintenance, and activities to ensure seamless service delivery.

- Leadership: Lead, inspire, and manage a team of department heads and staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, hospitality excellence, and continuous improvement.

- Guest Satisfaction: Ensure that every guest receives personalized, efficient, and professional service to exceed expectations and resolve any issues that may arise.

- Financial Management: Prepare and manage the resort’s budget, monitor expenses, and ensure that financial goals are met. Oversee revenue management, pricing strategies, and cost controls.

- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue, attract new guests, improve repeat guest rates, and optimize occupancy.

- Marketing and Sales: Work closely with the Sales & Marketing team to create and execute marketing campaigns, special promotions, and partnerships to enhance the resort’s brand visibility and market position.

- Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure compliance with all local regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Regularly review and audit operations to ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service quality.

- Staff Training & Development: Foster a learning environment by providing regular training and development opportunities to all staff to improve service quality and job satisfaction.

- Reporting: Regularly report on the resort’s performance, including occupancy rates, revenue, guest feedback, and staff performance to the ownership and senior management team.

- Guest Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with key guests and VIPs, ensuring their continued patronage and loyalty.

 

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a General Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry, preferably with experience in managing resorts, hotels, or luxury properties.

- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a large team.

- In-depth knowledge of resort operations, guest services, and hospitality standards.

- Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and managing P&L.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, staff, and ownership.

- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve conflicts diplomatically.

- Deep understanding of local tourism trends and the ability to anticipate and capitalize on seasonal fluctuations in demand.

- A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

- A degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

- Fluency in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.

 

Preferred Skills:

- Experience in managing remote or destination resorts.

- Experience in adventure tourism or wellness-focused resorts is a plus.

- Familiarity with online booking platforms and resort management software.
