Responsibilities

As a Sous Chef (Continental), you will be an integral part of our dynamic culinary team. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Executive Chef in all aspects of the kitchen operations, particularly in preparing outstanding continental dishes. Some of your specific duties will include:

  • Assisting in managing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring adherence to quality and hygiene standards

  • Overseeing and participating in the preparation and cooking of continental cuisine

  • Designing and developing innovative menus, taking into account seasonal ingredients and guest preferences

  • Ordering and managing inventory of food and kitchen supplies

  • Training and supervising kitchen staff, ensuring seamless teamwork and efficient workflow

  • Collaborating with the Executive Chef to create and maintain an environment that promotes creativity, excellence, and growth

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or a similar role in a reputable hotel or restaurant, with a focus on continental cuisine

  • In-depth knowledge of continental cooking techniques, flavors, and ingredients

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality

  • A diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or a related field is preferred
